What sort of budget do you all think we have compared to last year, based on players released and signed, and season tickets sold compared to last season?

Last season we apparently sold 7600 by then end of june, so maybe 7800 in total. At an average of £200 which equates to £1,560,000
This season we had sold 5406 by then end of June, so with the payment plan coming back in maybe 6000? - equates £1,200,000

We released -

James McPake
Kevin Thomson
Ben Williams
Paul Cairney
Bradley Donaldson
David Gold
Paul Grant
Dean Horribine
Alan Maybury
Sean Murdoch
Tom Taiwo
James Collins
Ryan McGivern
Daniel Boateng
Danny Haynes
Duncan Watmore

What wages do we think these lads were on?

We've signed -
Scott Allan
Farid El Alagui
Mark Oxley
David Gray
Alan Combe

What wages do we reckon they'll be on?

I think McPake, Williams, Thomson and Cairney would have been on Higher wages than all our newcomers.
Every other player released is a saving.

You have to factor in that we're still paying pinky and perky along with their poodle and maybe Scott Thompson

According to some we're still paying Fenlon and have not long finished paying Yogi.

We also have a Parachute Payment from being relegated. I think it's 500k, so should help balance out the Season Ticket shortage.

If that's correct, and we assume the figures above are about right, it would mean our budget could be roughly 150k higher this season.

Fenlon resigned so we won't be paying him. Im sure Yogi's payments would have stopped when he got a new employer?

He definitely resigned. I wasn't aware we had to pay compensation to mutual consents. Is it less than if they're outright sacked?

It was reported at the time that he had resigned.

'Manager Pat Fenlon has resigned from his post at Hibernian, saying it was "100% my decision".'

Before that mate, he was at Hartlepool for a short spell.

I reckon McPake, McGivern, Thomson, and Collins would have all been high earners and i doubt those we've signed so far are anywhere near their wages.

Fenlon absolutely resigned but still received a pay off. Right shrewd and tough negotiator Rodney is. All to buy silence....
