In actual fact, if this develops well, it could lead to fewer accidents and delays.

It would definitely mean more boring journeys, though.

I changed my BMW coupe which had sports suspension, for an crossover which is as smooth and as comfortable as can be.

I'm already bored. 3 hour drives seem to take for ever which was never the case in the beemer.

I can't imagine how bored I'll be in a "driverless" car.

Rather a driverless car than my wife. And I mean driverless without satellite guidance technology, pedestrian sensors, speed limiters or cruise control.

Have to say though, that for long commutes, I used to dream about a car the did the work. I could be sleeping at the wheel.

But surely if you don't have to drive you could be doing something else?

Would that not be like being on a bus? I drive for a living and long journeys in the taxi are dull, but in my my car I quite enjoy it.

Depends really. Sometimes after a bevvy i struggle to get into my jammies.:greengrin
