Hi all

I'm never very keen on pushing these things but I've recently accepted an invitation to write about Hibs for a new site about 'the beautiful game' in Scotland, so a little heads-up. It's early days yet, the site having just launched in the past couple of days but it has a bit of potential to be something good I think.

I wanted to make sure Hibs are represented from the outset on this little project. Our fanbase is a thoughtful and very literate one I reckon and I wanted to see that shown 'out there'.

You can find the site at the below:

The Scottish Game (http://www.thescottishgame.com/)

(Click on 'Blogs)

The first piece they asked me to supply was a bit about the history of the club. Happy to supply an up-to-date version of a previous resume of our life and times since 1875. You can find it here:

A Short History of Hibernian Football Club (http://www.thescottishgame.com/wordpress/?p=247)

For those not aware and who may be interested, you can find my usual stuff about life and Hibs on my long-established blog at the below:

The Tears of a Clown (http://stuartfrew.wordpress.com/)

Wrote a little piece about a trip to the game at Berwick the other week.

Thanks, Stu

Cheers for that, Alf!

Incidentally, to all, there's room for another to write about our grand old club.

Thanks for the links. A good read. I'm just a bit worried that, given your trade, your only on .net for your doctorate!:wink:

At the very least, enough material for a conference, as we say at my work!

All the bedtime with the blog.

:greengrin Cheers, Saturday Boy. That's an interesting thought! I can honestly say I kicked that idea into touch a while back - too much like hard work! Do agree about the ample quantity of material though!
