Fantastic signing, delighted with this! He's a good age but has great experience already. He's been one of the best players on the park every time i've seen him play. Can't wait to see him in the green!

Got a small amount of the Liam Millers about it....and to be fair I think that's a good thing. Hopefully bit of quality we need, nweds to knuckle down to realise what a great opportunity it is for him and hopefully get a team doing wonders round him.

He should have been signed up weeks ago so he could bed in with his new team mates.

Great signing. Seen him a few times last season and is still a class act and controls the game.

Just goes to show, Stubbs knows the players he wants and the type of player, if that takes a few extra weeks, im prepared to wait. Quality over quantity indeed.:agree:

He will soon realise he has a massive opportunity here and what might perceive to be a step down he will get a shock at the size of the club we are and that isn't actually as big as a step down as people may think..

Superb signing.

Had a look over on KB just for the fun of it. Seen this post. What a roaster this boy is. Clearly doesn't know what a good player is.

Hopefully Harris finds his form again but he'll need to prove himself again, his place shouldn't be a given.

Still think we need a new centre half, forward that can also play wide and a natural winger.

Heard he had an offer from Rangers too but chose us. Could this be the pull of having a manager with a fantastic reputation paying dividends already? Cracking signing.

His quote to me was " Stubbs has signed a real nugget with this lad - a real class act !"

And your point is ?
At 82 I have been " around" football a long time with five relatives who have played for the club , three since WW2
Thro' that I have got to be friends with a number of retired players who keep in touch thro' golf etc.
This is a forum for chat which I enjoy contributing to

Class absolute class signing.

Got to laugh at the mutants over the road, mind I'd rather have keeting who, boabing gomis (isn't that one player in a compromising situation), a washed up goalie, and a couple of players because they have a foreign name they will be class. Give me Scott any day of the week, he will be out best player next year mark my words, delighted with this.

Said if before, he's got the swagger/cockiness we have been missing. He would rather make a mistake than hide or aimlessly hoof the ball.

Brilliant signing, didn't think we'd have been able to get him when we were in the Prem so to get him from 2nd tier is quite something. Bags of talent, just needs to screw the nut a bit. Could be our star man for 2 years, hopefully longer.

Biggest signing since Stokes.

Welcome Scott.

I have read a whole load of superlatives on .net to describe Scott's signing. Words like: Brilliant, Excellent, Fantastic, Superb, Quality, etc. I do hope that the fans do not expect too much too soon from a 22 year old who has by all accounts only played 30 loan games since leaving Dundee Utd in December 2011 for WBA.

Yes I do expect big things in the Scottish second tier from a player deemed good enough for the EPL a couple of years ago.

As you say: deemed good enough for the EPL back in 2011. It does appear that he has lost his way since then with loan spells to clubs in the English Championship, League 1 and League 2. But still above the level of midfielders he will meet in Scotland.

Good business for Stubbs if it works out.

Cannot highlight but defo well above the level of the Championship should he fulfill his potential.

Text a mate who is a Pompey season ticket holder last night. Report card was that he was a little bit light weight but a class act, brilliant on the ball.

That'll do for me

Seems to be the type of player we need and I hope he does the business. Nice to be spared all the usual 'massive club', 'massive underachievers', 'fantastic stadium and training facilities' gush, we usually hear from new signings.

Maybe he wanted to work with a coach who could help him improve, rather than a fat paranoid boozer?

EDIT: I should add - great signing. As I said before, we HAVE to show ambition to get promoted at first attempt. I really don't believe the Hun brothers are that good. Our club will be fretting about season ticket sales but getting more of us to turn up at ER is the next best thing, and signings like this will drive ticket sales.
