The link for the full game is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN5mbiF298k

For those of you who don't want to watch the full game the highlights and times for you to skip to are as follows:

Kenny Miller miss from a few yards out quickly followed by a Jordan Vale goal for Fusion - 57:30

Ronnie Argueta goal for Fusion - 1:51:30

Bilel Mohsni goal for Rangers - 1:59:00

Matt LaGrassa goal for Fusion - 2:02:40

Ventura Fusion County are a fourth-tier side in the USA, plying their trade in the USL Premier Development League, in the South-West region. Rangers for large parts of the game were slack in their possession, often playing the ball too short and the defending was woeful at times, especially the goals for Fusion.

Players like Miller, Kris Boyd and Marius Zaliukas all missed glaring opportunities that you would have expected any team to have scored. Rangers next face Sacramento Republic FC, who play in the third-tier of football in the USA, the USL Pro League.

Still think their experience will show through and they will win the league, Boyd and Miller will score a lot of goals as well IMO.

I was just posting it because they are our first opponents of the season so it will be of interest to some. They have signed players early, and haven't played anything resembling cohesive football. They have had a 1-1 draw against Brora Rangers, a 3-1 defeat to the Fusion and a 3-0 victory over Buckie Thistle who finished 10th in the Highland League last season. The defending for the goals have been awful, and according to reports, against Brora they could have been beaten easily as chances were created at will for the Cattachs.

Not forgetting their most important players - THE REFEREES !!

The previous club had them, the current version has them.

TRFC may well be sh*te but that is the state of football in Scotland. They should still win the Championship comfortably with the other contenders taking points of each other - a drawn match is 2 pts lost not 1 pt gained.

Honestly, he looks very unhappy and has maybe been on a two week bender or something.

All joking aside, he does not look well in that photo.

Commentator said Rangers and Queens Park is the oldest derby in the world ! 2 year old derby? Even the old Rangers v Queens Park was first played in 1879...a few years after Christmas Day 1875 when Hibs played Hearts. Of course I wish we had not gotten ourselves relegated just to keep it going

A very interesting early history have Queens Park. Some of it we all know, playing in the first 2 FA Cup finals, fielding the entire Scotland team which won the first international played against England.

According to Wikipedia it was Queens Park who played attacking, 'combination' football which the English gradually adopted in favour of their dribbling, then pass it back style. Queens Park the first German style team? :greengrin

But back to the Fusion v The Rangers.....cannot take too much from these games....except Rangers did not look like a good team just going through the motions of a pre-season, get match fit game. They really do look mediocre and if Championship teams do not pay them too much respect they might not have it all their own way.
