I've seen Hibs lose five Scottish Cup Finals. If Hibs were ever to win it in my lifetime the emotion would just be overwhelming, especially when I think of all those I've known who never saw Hibs lift that trophy.

Apologies if this sounds a bit OTT.

Not the first time somebody has said. Do you know, we haven't won it since 1902?

If anyone out there knows where this guy lives GET ROUND THERE NOW !!!

Keep him warm and away from any sharp objects, its unlikely he is dangerous but its best to be safe. Do not attempt to engage him in conversation, people like this can be very persuasive and often believe passionately in what they say, no matter how obviously deranged it might seem to a normal person.

The local authority / NHS in his area will have an on call mental health team who will drop everything to rush round at a moments notice, especially in a situation as clearly urgent as this one.

The good thing is that this is not an uncommon delusional condition amongst the small percentage of the population who share the H1BZ1875 gene. Though the condition cannot ever be cured completely new treatments are available, such as shock therapy. The Irish practitioner Dr P Fenlon conducted experiments in 2012 and 2013 which went a long way to showing that a cure will one day be found. In the test group of around 23,000 a large percentage seemed more able to accept that they were delusional, though subsequent follow up research has shown that relapses were not uncommon within a large percentage of the test group.

The search for a cure continues.

Alternatively, Stubbs has never lost a Scottish Cup game as Hibs manager. I know which statistic I prefer.
