Has anyone applied for a new passport renewal recently? Just with all the delays and everything, I was wondering how long it took for you to receive your new passport.

I got a first passport for a child on the premium service from Glasgow and it arrived after about 3 days.

Mini-Beefster got one renewed a couple of months ago. Took about a fortnight. Doncaster office IIRC.

Mines was sorted in about a fortnight. Would've been shorter if the check-and-send approved pictures hadn't been sent back!

Got one for my eldest back in February/March, took about a week. (I was really impressed with the speed).

I do know things have gummed up a bit. A colleague at work is heading to Barcelona with her family next week and noticed her sons passport was out of date.

Had to pay for the premium service in person at Newport, but it was processed and should get it this week.

If you are going abroad, I would pay the extra money and go through to Glasgow. It would be worse if you couldnt go on holiday.

Anyone been waiting a while sent mine in 10th June not heard anything website says form received being proccesed but that has been the case for 5 weeks now?

Mine was held up in the backlog in June and I missed out on a £1200 holiday to Cancun. Still furious.

Thats brutal mate, unfortunately its not my first adult one but it is the first one I've ordered overseas.
