Pretty positively sure that both Rowan Vine and Fraser Mullen left the club in January after being released by TB. Vine went to Morton and Mullen played against us for Raith in the SC.

Some decent players in there and some very average. But next to nothing you'd call real star quality, which is why we're now playing second level football this season. Stubbs has a heap of work to do but at least he should have a few bob to spare with all that lot gone - he'd better spend it wisely!

That's all very true but my list is of players who were registered to us last season and an indication of where they are right now.

Vine has subsequently been released by Morton and Mullen left Raith Rovers at the end of the season and has now signed for East Fife.

Also supporting this opinion is that Thomson (who I rate) and McPake are of to an unproven team albeit in the division above us. The only player who's left us and went on to better things is Paul Cairney.

Typing that last sentence really hits it home!

You don't need star quality to survive in the Scottish top flight - as a host of clubs have proved. You just need organisation, commitment, decent leadership and competent coaching... sadly all lacking last term.

Has he really? I think Killie are an absolutely dire team, and without Boyd I think theres a good chance they will finish bottom next season.
