Not playing today. Injured? Or...

A guy asked the Hibs twitter why him, Heffernan and Caldwell weren't playing. They replied that Heffernan was injured and made no mention of the other two.

Caldwell is supposedly in talks with St Mirren so could imagine Robertson is off too. I'd have kept him but trust Stubbs' decision.

If Robertson/Caldwell have shown an interest in leaving then just let them go. No point having guys in the team who'd rather be elsewhere.

Not reading anything into it at all.

Just asking the question.

Do you know for sure what his situation is?

Would be disappointed if Robertson left as he's a good midfielder, think it's right for all involved that Caldwell's left as his attitude is honking.

Fingers crossed we see Robertson in a starting line-up soon.

When Robertson is fit he looks decent.

However he picks up too many injuries and never seems to be able to string a sustained number of games together.

If he's got yet another injury it is disappointing and frustrating (for him and us!)

Not sure why the club haven't announced it, did they announce it when the other young lads left?

Seem to recall that at the end of the season they announced a number of players were leaving.

We are going to need better than him (and Craig) if we are going to get out the league.

We won't be able to get a better player than Robertson. Keep in mind this is a guy who has played for Scotland and has won the Scottish cup and captained both Dundee clubs. I think Scott is the best sr midfielder we have

Opinions eh. I would strongly argue that you would do well to find a better central midfield in the league should those two start for us.

I agree 100%, Scott is by a country mile the best midfielder at the club and should really shine in the Championship. He's also a real goal threat and I wouldn't be surprised if he got into double figures for us from midfield if he can keep free of injury.

I quite liked Robertson last year at times but although he was always busy there wasn't ever really any product. Although I think he'd do a job we've said just that about too many players. We need players this year that'll do more than just 'do a job'.

I'd keep Craig. I thought he was a coward towards the end of the season and was all for punting him. But I think he could comfortably get into double figures in the championship. And are we going to find another midfielder easily who can do that? Wouldn't have him as captain though.

Is he still commuting to East Mains from Dundee everyday?

Wrong.

Agreed, but they won't come to Hibs because we can't afford them and the standard of football in the "champion"ship will be lower than they can get elsewhere.

Robertson will do for me.

I'm judging him by his performances for Hibs (when he played) and how often he got into scoring positions and was often unlucky IMO not to get on the scoresheet. I'm also taking into account the fact that he/we will be playing in the championship.

I'm struggling to recall players who seem to hit the woodwork quite as regularly as Scott Robertson seems to have, or even have unlucky deflections. His luck will turn.
