Vale Of Leithen 0 - Dumbarton 4 (HT 0-3)

Jordan Kirkpatrick scored first 2, Nish got the 3rd

Kirkpatrick was most impressive Dumbarton player

Stubbs was there for 3/4 of the game

Apparently Vale have already sold 500+ tickets for Saturday & there is a TV gantry opposite the dugouts for Hibs TV & Sky

70-100 there tonight, 25 / 30 from Dumbarton

Not a bad match

Stubbs was impressed with the pitch at Victoria Park, there was another guy with him , maybe the new assistant ? Didn't recognise him, looked like an ex footballer though

You get a good pint in the Union Club in Innerleithen, worth a visit before + after the game :agree::top marks

Meant to add Van Zanten was playing right back for Dumbarton

Jack Ross, who is meant to be going to a coaching role at Tynecastle, was on the touchline with Ian Murray

I thought Scott Agnew, the number 8 had a good game for Dumbarton and Nishy rolling back the years with a good strike.

Vale are missing some players due to holidays & will be facing 2nd game in 48 hours so could be pretty knackered come Saturday, then again they have probably got more than 15 players and they showed off last night by playing 2 goalkeepers
