A lot of rumours (god knows if reliable) that he is coming to us as a player/coach. I'd be extremely happy with that signing.

sounds akin to our recent right back, helping the youth team(s) but playing rather slowly at right back first team at the same time. I'd take McFadden, as a player.

Number of rumours re players signing for Hibs: 328213295820957

Players actually signed for Hibs: 0

I'll get excited when I actually see a player update on the official site.

Presume "Faddy" and Stubbs(y) know each other from Everton, so in that respect the rumour makes sense.

If McFadden can stay fit he'd make a great signing.

I would bet that nobody else in the Hibs squad for next season will have scored penalties at a packed Wembley.

2 year deal?

He'd be a great asset to any club. Surely we can afford a player of his quality who admittedly might be out some of the season injured but will definitely show our youngsters how it's done and lead by example on and off the pitch.

We need leaders and I think James McFadden would be of the appropriate calibre for us this season.

I agree. We need to make a big signing like that, something that will give the fans a bit of excitement.

Heard so many rumours but wont be believing anything until its officially announced by the club. Hoping it's true though, would be a really good signing IMO.

Well, not many players are capable of playing for Scotland's second force. He could be good for us though.

My feelings about signing McFadden would probably fit nicely into the "Apathy towards and twisting of anything related to Hibs " category.

Who is he? Most journos follow him and so does Leeann Dempster, I think a few do know who he is, he was at Pittodrie last night and Ronnie Mackay from the Sun told him to pop up and say hello

I could be wrong but I think the purpose of that invite was to out him as the slaver he is.

In fairness he just annoys me as he's so clearly a Celtic fan but denies it.

Yeah that's what I took from the invite too.

I seem to remember a time when he was quite obvious about being a Celtic fan but has since denied it

i take the view that as fans we have a emotional ownership in this club and some of us own a few shares in it. We all know that STF has the majority share ownership of the club. Using capitals makes me feel that our emotional ownership is in a way equal to the property ownership.
