60. No age at all.

I know he was ill a couple of years ago but was this sudden?

I'm shocked and saddened by this news. I know the SFA top boys get a lot of flak but David Taylor seemed to genuinely have the good of the game at heart.

I know the family. All shocked and stunned by this. Happened in Turkey. Got flown back to Glasgow where sadly died this afternoon.

Absolutely devastating. As someone else has said 60 is no age at all.

Reinvigorated the SFA after the shambles that Jim Farry left - such a shame, it was also a shame for our game when Uefa headhunted him

I know absolutely nothing of what happened but if he was taken ill in Turkey its a really strange decision to fly him back, couldn't have done him any good at all

He recently went up higher in my estimation of him by speaking out in favour of Scottish independence. RIP David.

He had the belief in Scotland to go for Euro 2008, we stood a great chance of getting it before it was torpedoed by McConnell bringing the Irish into it. A great football supporter and a great man. RIP

He was one of those likable sort of guys who you got the impression that he was always being straight with you. Sometimes I thought he was a bit to honest for his own good. A real shame, 60 is no age at all.

Sad loss to football.A giant among pygmies.Spoke to him at a Hibs Player of the Year Dinner and he was courteous, polite and interesting.
