So the four man shortlist was Stubbs, Venus and Huistra? Who was the final candidate out of that four man shortlist? McCall? Murray?

Murray, I think. No idea if he was interviewed though, other people on here will know more than me but I assume he probably was.

Surely if Murray was interviewed we would've heard about Hibs asking for permission to speak to him?

The same goes with Stuart McCall too.

Stubbs, Murray and McCall are all currently employed. We heard about Everton giving permission to talk to Stubbs but nothing from Dumbarton or Well regarding the other two, so my suspicion is that neither were on the short list. Also LD went down to England last week to conduct the interviews which would suggest Murray and McCall would have been interviewed before she went south. Which would have been sniffed out by the weegia.

i suspect we will never know.

From Wiki.

"On 30 May 2012 he was announced as new head coach of recently relegated 2012–13 Eerste Divisie club De Graafschap, with the goal to bring his new club promptly back to the top flight.[6] He was fired on 24 December 2013, as of a lack of good results in the past weeks."

"He served as head coach for two full seasons, the final one being particularly disappointing as his Groningen team failed to enter the race for a UEFA Europa League spot and instead narrowly escaped relegation by the end of the season; the seasonal outcome, well below the board aspirations, led to his dismissal on 10 May 2012.[5]"

Thank god we didn't appoint him, much to the disgust of quite a few posters on .net that are dis-maid about Stubbs stating "would rather have a foreign manager". His cv is frightening.

Was mentioned by his agent as being interested but not in relation to any interview.

A red herring or more of a smoked kipper.

Was Pieter Huistra...

Was it????

I heard it was Stubbs, Venus, Gemmell and Les Ferdinand - he finished up at Spurs on Weds.

Suppose we'll never really find out...
