Decent team if you add in a goalkeeper, and then coach and motivate them properly....:stirrer:

Not as bad as first thought bearing in mind it is the Championship. But it still needs strengthening as a few of those listed would probably not last the season.

Wow That team will be as brutal in the Championship as it was in the SPFL

I hope to hell the new manager is a better motivator than TB but I suppose that goes without saying he can't be any worse.

The players who left are

Williams
Murdoch
Grant
Thomson
McPake
Collins
Maybury
Taiwo
Cairney
Gold
Horribine
Donaldson

Rumours of a few others but these are the only one that have been confirmed

Decent team ? How much of last season did you actually see ? Alex Ferguson couldn't make a winning team out of this collection of journeymen, no-hopers and non-triers, with the exception of the younger guys, most of them had 38 games last season to show us what they were made of and, unfortunately, they did !!!

If motivation wins games then Hibs were always starting games as losers with TB. Maybe.the same players can achieve something under a different mind-set. You can only hope.

I'd rather see everyone of them taken in a mini bus to polson park I'm Tranent and made to stay there for the rest of their careers.......with all the wee young team geeing them a swig of their white lightening just to keep them alive

ahem, lee power or paul tosh?

Not a fan of james collins but we have had some seriously **** strikers over the years. Some great ones as well mind, keith wright, big keith houchen, sparky, riordan, o'connor, stokes, archibald, best!!!, what I would give for some of that talent at easter road now.

Given that the remainining players were the majority of the team that was mid-table around the end of January it's a reasonable hope. The Championship is a slightly lower standard than the premier so there's no reason not to be at least in the play-offs.

That makes depressing reading!

I'm starting to think that a strategic decision has been made that this coming season will be one of consolidation in the championship, with promotion, despite motherhood statements emanating from all and sundry, only being set as prime target for the following season.

If That is not the case, then the shambles we appear to be in without even a goalie on our books, must be a cunning act of subtrefuge designed to lull our opponents into a false sense of security!
