View Full Version : Tickets Season Ticket Prices, A Suggestion.

There has been quite a lot of discussion recently on how much people should/would pay for Season Tickets. Understandably, a number of people are unwilling to pay the full price from last year for a Championship Season. Others have quite admirably suggested they have no problems paying the full whack, if it helps the club get back to the Top League ASAP.

Here's an idea whereby the Club could please both parties. Why not re-introduce graded pricing as it was a number of years back. This way, there would be a choice of cheaper seats and full price seats, with the difference being the view (as at a number of other stadia). If you look at the Season Ticket page on the Official Website, you'll clearly see where people prefer to sit, so this follows that formula.

Prices just as an example.....

Category A Seats(£400): West 4,5,6,12,13 - East 40,41,42
Category B Seats(£350): West 2,3,7,8,11,13 - FF Upper (All) - East 38,39,43,44 + Lower Sections of 40,41,42
Category C Seats(£300): West 1,9,10,15 - FF Lower (All) East 37,45 + Lower Sections of 38,39,43,44

I've wondered for a few seasons now why the extreme wings off the West and East are not cheaper. I'm not so sure about having 3 categories but the idea is good in principle IMHO.

Good idea. Problem would be that we rarely sell out so there would be nothing to stop someone buying a £300 season ticket in section 37 then just walking along and standing with their mates in section 42, saving £100 in the process.

Which is precisely the reason I was given when I asked about this a few years back :greengrin

In that case I should clarify. When I said it was a good idea in principle what I meant was it was a really, really, really bad idea. :greengrin

They use to have that pricing structure and changed when colin McNeill started and that was one of the main reasons
