If it were kosher it would come as a letter. There have been a number of these scams lately. An Irish bank one is also doing the rounds.

It's a scam mate, been around for a while HMRC never email you.

Nope, not had an email saying you're getting a tax refund.

Scouse is correct. HMRC never send emails. Ergo scam.

Not about personal tax. They did trial it but gave it up due to confidentiality issues.

Now that you mention it, I think the email corrspondence I've had has been about V.A.T.
