Yeh, I've been looking at some prices for the other games too. England v Italy, snore draw- 2/1, and Ivory Coast to beat Japan 13/8.

If they play as badly as they did v Serbia last Friday night you could well be right about them struggling.
I think David Luiz will be their weak link in this tournament.

I can see Croatia parking the bus and getting a draw. Maybe even a win.

I think Brazil will wear yellow tonight though.

Indeed, i'd imagine that the Croats will follow the Serbian team's game plan.

I was reading earlier on a betting forum that the hosts have never been beaten in the opening game in 20 attempts in the World Cup! 14 wins for the hosts and 6 draws, well, according to this guy earlier.

I suppose that run will come to an end at some stage but will it be tonight? Croatia without their main man....and remember this is the side that Scotland stuffed twice in recent times too!, :greengrin

I'm sure ex-hun Nikica Jelavic shall provide them with loads of goals in this opening game! :greengrin

In all seriousness, if Croatia's midfield three of Rakitic(Sevilla, just about to sign for Barcelona) Modric(Real Madrid) and Kovacic (Inter Milan) can get control of the game and prevent Brazil from scoring early on then it could make for a very interesting/tense game for the host nation.

Aye, i did smile when i saw that they were now relying on Jelavic as being the main man for tonights game anyway :greengrin
I think a draw could be the best to be gained by the Croats but Brazil's defence has hardly conceded much at all recently, very stingy, so i'd find it hard to back them for a win......so in other words Brazil 0 Croatia 3 with a Jelavic hat-trick!! :greengrin

A small lay bet of Brazil @ 1.3 might be the way forward.
