What happens if Iran win their game 2-1 and Argentina beat Nigeria by the same scoreline, who goes through as runners up? Iran or Nigeria?

Iran because they'll have scored more goals overall.

Not really. They would both have scored 2 and conceded 2. Or do the qualifiers come into it as well?

Iran 0-0 Nigeria
Argentina 1-0 Iran
Nigeria 1-0 Bosnia
Nigeria 1-2 Argentina
Bosnia 1-2 Iran

Looks like that wishful thinking ain't going to happen now!

True but was just thinking if Iran were to win 2-1, who would progress as runners up? Iran or Nigeria? Don't think that had ever happened before.

Apologies, you're right enough.

If they can't be separated on points (which they wouldn't be given that scenario), goals (same again) or head to head (draw) it comes down to a 'drawing of lots'.

I don't think it'll matter as I can't see Iran scoring twice.

Haven't watched every game but the only player I can remember diving regularly is Sturridge. Can't even recall Suarez doing any proper cheating. Yet you see it in almost every single game on MOTD. Maybe it's the type of grass in England rather than where players come from.

Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng have been expelled from Ghana's World Cup squad (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28035928) for alleged indiscipline.

It added Boateng had used "vulgar verbal insults targeted at coach Kwesi Appiah" and said Muntari was guilty of an "unprovoked physical attack on an executive committee member".

I think it was Luis Gustavo aka Sammy Davis Jr not staying close to Sanchez. On the other hand, Sanchez is good at dropping into good positions so maybe one of Luiz or Thiago Silva should have done it. As you say though, poor defending especially when Sanchez is their dangerman.
