After today's debacle at Easter Road, it got me thinking about signings.

Our season kicks off on July 26th which is 6 weeks on Saturday.

There were rumours about pre contracts, Dean Brill from ICT the one that kept popping up.

Have we seriously not got a single player a) signed on a pre-contract or b) signed since the 2nd leg of the playoff.

The new manager has now to be appointed, and identified/signed an entire squad in 6 weeks or actually 3-4 weeks assuming it takes 2-3 weeks to appoint someone.

What a bloody mess.

He's not out of contract.

Didn't think there was a debacle at Easter road today, only the right decision being made

Ok, there were plenty of posters on here saying we'd agreed a deal to sign him this summer then as far as I remember.

I liked Ben Williams as a keeper, I don't think much of Dean Brill though. He's very average and we could pick up someone on a free who'll be just as good/bad pretty easily I think.

I'm not arguing with the decision, looking for an 8th manager in 10 years with literally no squad, 6 weeks before a season starts is a debacle though.

100% made the right call in getting rid of Butcher but I think its going to be very tough getting out of this league at the first attempt.

I think no matter what ,we will be struggling at the start of the season ,mind you, when are players due back for pre season at other clubs ??
