Does anyone know if any of the big supermarkets over here sell this and if not, wheres the best place to buy it (nay funny cants saying Brasil :greengrin).

Caipirinhas aye? Saw some in marks & spencer at the weekend. Or try Lawerence Smith over at the pleasance, it's a wholesaler but you can get pretty much anything there.

Try Spirited Wines on Frederick St or Peckhams in Newington. I have bought from both in the past.

What is it?


It's a Brazilian/Portuguese alcoholic drink made from sugar cane. Very strong like vodka/whisky but its used mainly for making cocktails over here. As Lozmoz said, caipirinha's are the most famous ones. They are the dugs and if you've never tried one, you got to. Their to die for :thumbsup:.
