If only one has to go who would you choose?

On the basis of the good feeling I have about LD having full licence to rule I'd have to say Butcher to go. I think Petrie will be a nothing man if he stays.

After listening to LD i'm confident can manage Petrie. Having seen TB attempt to manage a football team, i'm a million % convinced he is incapable of doing that:agree:

100% Butcher.

Petrie is lingering like a bad smell but Dempster obviously has assurances that she'll be allowed to run things, so his removal isn't nearly as urgent as Butcher's IMO.

I notice so far Butcher is deemed to be the most important person to go.
I tend to agree.
From what I see all the effort is to get Petrie out. I don't disagree but I feel dealing with the Butcher scenario is the most important.
We can deal with Petrie even after the new season starts. Who knows he might even prove to us he is not going to try and stick his nose in when it's not welcome.

Has to be Butcher. He's been a disaster and his caveman football and lack of management skills are single handedly responsible IMHO for our relegation.

Petrie is irrelevant.

Totally agree. Think the cost to get rid of Butcher might end up being the only reason he keeps the job.

We could pay him off if we sold a 1000 more ST's which we'll easily sell the moment he's punted. Even then we don't need a lump sum. Stick him on gardening leave.

Definitely. Butcher for masquerading as a manager.Should be done under the trades description act.

In addition to taking issue with the "manager" part of his job title Trades Description investigators could probably have him on the "football" part too.

I find it interesting that the majority of people on this tread want Butcher out. While his performance at Hibs has been totally unacceptable, I can't help but think he is a symptom of the problems at Hibs. The real problem is Petrie - he has stood over the demise of our club for years.

What happened to the mental surge of personal attacks on petrie ? So far I think the real culprits for our relegation have be served for what they did 14 so far and hopefully few more too . Now just want to see some ambition and butcher allowed to bring in a new determined squad who want to play for club and managment that have passion and fight to get back to prem . GGTTH . come on leanne get some money to butcher and lets see some signings soon as .

It doesn't mean that I support hoof ball football, but there were problems long before Butcher arrived, so if I have to pick one, it's petrie

Petrie, I'm sick and tired of the revolving managerial door, lets give the man a chance, after all you can only pish with the cock you've got and his was short and shrivelled last season, lets see if LD can act like Viagra on tell boy

This! :top marks

As far as Petrie is Petrie is concerned, he's a shareholder and wants to keep close to every penny taken in or spent as it affects his ultimate reckoning of the worth of the Club to him! :hmmm: :dunno:

As LD said in her opening interview, she has autonomy to make decisions but they need to be approved by the Board at strategic levels and that means that RP will always have a say in everything significant that happens at ER since is is a shareholder and unlikely to give up the ability to be able to participate!

He's going nowhere I suspect although it may be that this has been a bit of a "wake up" call and he will listen to and respect the thoughts and views of LD and others of that level within the Club? :hmmm: :dunno:

Easy one for me, butcher, no doubt.

Rod has put a structure in place, probably something he should have done a while ago, putting someone in place so he can do what he is good at and look after the pennies.

Couldn't pick. Both were part of the staff which saw us relegated, that in itself should be reason enough for them to go.

The coward Butcher, as already stated his line up at Easter rd was pathetic and only a loser would go into a game of such magnitude with the formation he put out.

I want Petrie gone, but if I had to chose then it would be Butcher.

I'm prepared to accept Dempster's reassurances that she's in charge, which means that Petrie's ability to harm us is minimal (people saying they won't give our club any money whilst he remains are causing that harm themselves).

Having taken my time to digest the reasons for our relegation, I have come to the conclusion that Butcher is at fault for mis-managing a mediocre mid-table squad to the extent that we would have finished bottom of the league if not for our loathsome neighbours' financial irregularities. Keeping him will hinder our chances of getting back at the first attempt, so Butcher has to go.
