He's already done that with KT. Claros wouldn't work under Butcher. Think of the amount of sideways passes he made. Malpas would have him up against a wall in no time.:agree:

Again, a lot of people raging over a rumour and plenty stirring it right up rather than commenting on it. Take from that what you will. As for the overdramatic language, well, let's face it, we can all see Butcher, red faced, crazy-eyed, getting himself worked up at that piece of paper and attacking it with a might roar and "ripping it up" into a million pieces in a frenzied attack.....

As for me, I'll continue to feel positive about the LD interview and PB's meeting notes and that feeling it gave me that there's much more positive things already happening and about to happen at Hibs.

Any previous scout for Hibs should be keeping a very very very low profile :aok:

If there is anyone we should be delighted they are not at Hibs anymore it's this guy :agree::aok:

Gutted if true, even TB isn't that inept. More than likely a victim of cost cutting, pre contract would've been on SPL wages. If that is the case then I'm devastated as I would've loved the wee man back at ER. Apparentlh he and his family loved Edinburgh and the club.

Read his thoughts and tweets - he rates Roy Keane as a manager (Sunderland, Ipswich) :faf: yet has digs at Butcher :aok: calls out Arsenal's poor injuries record (yet we had one of the worst injury records under Pat)......calls Celtic 'more than a club'.......etc etc etc.......

If I recall correctly it was Jorge's agent at this end that contacted Hibs when Rangers fell through........DH didn't even spot him......:cb

Plus he is mates with Clancy......which is more than enough evidence needed to hit the 'ignore' button :aok:

If true, another example of poor management and not being able to spot a player. He would be the type of sitting and passing midfielder ideal to take us forward. Mind you I always say Thomson in that role but we all know where that ended up.

Tragically enough hoofing it into the corners would have been a tactical improvement on hoofing it down the middle to watch James Collins lose out to a big centre half :(

Have to agree, I thought there was alot of positional play from Claros that stopped opposing players making passes that really went unseen. Like many players they need time at a new club, especially a player coming from different culture altogether. Once he settled in he would have been the 2nd name on my team sheet behind Griffiths. Would love to have him back.

He man-marked Gary Hooper beautifully in the 1-0 over Celtic at ER. Head and shoulders above the vast majority of midfielders in the Scottish Prem, nevermind Championship.

Is that some sort of a joke? If you had 4 names on a team sheet last season it would have been Williams, Hanlon, Claros and Griffiths. His tackling was superb, his passing was simple but allowed our game to flow a bit, no shock that we were so slow and laboured this year without him in the side under Fenlon! Him and Thomson as a two behind 3 attacking midfielders and a striker would have been immense to see... In the same mould as rankin and Paton at united but with more technical ability!

Spot on mate. Watching him last night made me proud that we even had a player of that quality playing for us. Especially given the rest of the dross he played with. Much has been made about the departure of Griffiths -and rightly so- but i suspect that part of the downfall should attributed to the loss him Claros and his composure and ability to take that extra touch.

Not hibs class for some mind!

I liked Claros especially his second season , BUT he was a negative midfielder who won the ball back and made lots of simple passes, lovely if your in a team to do it and it works.

The team that started and finished this season he would have looked lost , he never scored goals , he was never box to box, he never made passes inside full backs or CHs, .

He should be glad Fenlon saved his career and I'd guess Butcher wouldn't consider it never mind ripped it up as he didn't want a 17th midfielder in his 25 man squad

My mind must be playing tricks on me as, as well as being an excellent tackler and keeper of possession, I remember Claros being a really good playmaker in his second season - quick diagonal balls between the CH and FBs that Leigh was on to in a flash. I'll give you the lack of goals though.

IMO he was an absolute stand out that season. I honestly think people underrated him as a player because he ran funny :greengrin

What scares me is that this guy was our chief scout - no wonder we are in this mess.

He comes across as a bit of a weirdo on Twitter. I don't believe this story for a second as it would have came out from Claros' camp eventually. Just a bitter individual who wants a go at Butcher just like 'Thommo' McPake and Vine.

I'm so glad we are getting rid of all things rotten at Hibs. I believe Butcher and Malpas are more inept than anything but rotten as in the wrong attitude/culture.
