Way I see it: McGivern, Nelson, liam Craig, OTJ, Collins, heffernan. I can see us getting shot off OTJ, Collins, Liam Craig, and McGivern.

Think might be stuck with Nelson.

I think we should keep Craig.Goalscoring midfielder when played properly.

Only player you've mentioned I'm even remotely interested in in staying is Heffernen.

What is this based on exactly?

A hunch, or do you have any info?

Where are we going to get better for cheaper? Half wages and we're playing at a lower level now. I'd rather divert funds to get another 4 or 5 really good signings.

Fair enough. I differ because against Hamilton I thought he looked like a clown. Him and McGivern were both playing left back. And if I ever again saw him doing his silly bicycle kick pass without looking at where he was passing...I think I'd lost the rag.

Scored some pens but hasn't created or done enough for me. Not enough pace or energy as well.

Played properly!!! Sorry but Craig pinned his colours to the mast with his cowardly and spineless performances and he should be nowhere near the first team ever again. The guy was supposed to be club capt but all he did was hide and pass the buck.

He wasn't interested in the fight and showed how much it meant to play for the club..... Nowt.

Want him nowhere near the club.

I'd rather sell liam Craig on cheap and get Hamilton's midfield. Better? He was a regular in a team that got us relegated. Can't be hard to find better.

No info but if we keep core of team. 2 defenders, 2 midfielder, 2 forwards then ST sales will be dreadfully low and we'll finish mid table. These players will also be well paid. Heffernan is rumoured to be going to Carlisle.

nelson can bolt as far as i am afraid. Hes just not got anything about him footballing wise that i like. He lets the occaision get to him too much making him charge out like a eejit which exploits space.

Heffernan can leave, isnt getting any older and wont fit butchers style

OTJ, Craig and mcgivern i would hold onto, purely for the reason that otj was part of a succesful team at caley and hasnt got a fair crack of the whip, Craig is our captain but has had a really hard time the past 6 months with everyone slating him, im hoping a new team and new season lets him enjoy his football again. Mcgivern showed us the first season hes got ability, hasnt been great this season granted but you have to keep in mind were in the first division and mcgivern has still put in some very good performances this season.

Basically class is permanent, form is temporary

What is Butchers style? He has no style, no clue and can't even work out how to change a game.

he struggled with our team as everyone would, its easy sitting in the stands saying he should do this should do that. We never had 4 players that every fan would chose in the same team at the end of the season, thats the problem. At caley he assembled a settled 11 that all understood their roles within and the 7 subs who knew what was required when called upon

Only need to look at caley to see the fast, direct and the movement of their players to see what he wants. He just never had it here

Good - as a football player or is he just getting a job in Carlisle :aok: I'll manage to get him, Nelson and McGivern in my car and drive them down south personally.

Injured in a warm up :rotflmao: have you seen the way Hibs 'warm up'.........it's nigh impossible to get injured in one of our warm ups. More chance of yer heid getting taken off with one of his 'shots' :agree:

They can ALL sling their hook - failures.

So why did we see an upturn in results when he first came? He also signed players on loan that he wanted.

imo our squad was settled then and were playing how he wanted then within a week or two: robertson, mcgivern, handling, etc got injured which made him need to bring in players he had already stated were not in his plans.

He said he never wanted to sign anyone as the real transformation would be this summer. Watmore looked a player but the majority of his time was on the treatment table. Haynes had a good start but then got moved wide and got sent off then was rarely seen again.

Nah, actually based on a rumour - Heffernan going to Carlisle. Also one of the worst Hibs teams I've seen ever. 6 more to clear out is that really lunacy when you've got McGivern and Nelson on that list plus longterm injury list members Heffernan and OTJ? Lunacy would be in keeping these players.

This second part is hilarious for a few reasons: age 41 and comments like this. Either brown nosing or crowd pleasing. Smug nevertheless.

Honest thread asking for opinion and this again is the type of smug, non-opinionated drivel posted in response. What pleases you about shooting down people who are asking for genuine opinions?

I'm sure if you're comment is meant as a light-hearted jest, you won't mind mine, eh?

If they stay I hope all there wages have been cut in half (or more), none of them earned there wages last season. I'm not fussed if any of them stay, but if they stay the better get there figures out and get us back to the spl first time of asking. As senior players they owe the fans big time

Don't think Nelson will be getting his Figure Out .Cant see any Modelling agency wanting him on there books He looked Cream Crackered in the last five or six games ,and if Hamilton are typical Championship Team then he would be a liability can't see anyone wanting him though

Above as it is / was with LC...mentioned in another thread that during the second leg vs Hamilton he had the good decency to leave it to young Stangon to rile the players up and get them moving up the pitch whilst our bestowed captain hid away from the challenge throughout......another player who simply hasn't stepped up once removed from his comfort zone with a suburban team...I say that with respect as these out of town teams have proven they are just as good if not better than where we are at at moment.....and players like Craig have helped make it this way.

I have varying degrees of anger towards each of them but I honestly wouldn't bat an eyelid if any of the remaining players were to leave over the summer, with the exception of Hanlon, Stanton and Stevenson.

Nelson, McGivern, Craig, Collins and Tudur Jones will hopefully be nowhere near the first team next season, that's if they're still at the club at all.

IF Ryan McGivern and Nelson are anywhere near our first team next season, I really don't think I'll be at ER at all. Not only because their both utter kite but because it would also clearly indecate to me that the manager (whoever that maybe) doesn't have a clue what their doing.

The Heff is an older head who can help Cummings along with the mental side of the game. All that "Zing" and "Can of Beans" opening is probably unlikely to make a reappearance unless Jason scores a big goal.

Plus i reckon he'd get about 10 in the champ so be slightly dissapointed if he was sold.
