There will be a Hibs flavoured independence debate next Wednesday 28th 7:30 at the Hibs club when two Hibby pals go head to head. Myself, Ian Blackford will be representing Yes. Simon Pia will be representing Better Together. The journalist David Torrance will be in the chair. All welcome to come along and join in the debate.

Thankfully Simon and myself are old pals so there will be respect although I expect the Yes case to be convincing.

David Torrance will be far from impartial in the chair, he's let the mask slip lately.

David Torrance will be far from impartial in the chair, he's let the mask slip lately.

He hosted Douglas Alexander (possibly the nippiest man ever) at Dundee Uni for 5 million questions recently and was pretty impartial to be fair.I know he's leaning towards the union and you could tell he was a wee bit miffed that every single person he went to in the audience for a question for DA was a maniacal yes voter.

I tweeted him earlier asking how he'll keep his neutrality at sunnyside, he suggested I come along and judge for myself, which I intend to do.

Pray to god its conducted in a civilised manner.

There was some poll on newsnet recently, by fan group. limited numbers to go on but no with us was ahead by 3-4%, undecideds were about 15%. Funnily enough, both Celtic and The Rangers fans were Yes by 5+%. Hearts fans were roughly similar to Hibs - iirc, they had fewer undecideds.

Expect a similar experience to that of the Celtc fans who travel from RoI but without the boat. Border controls are very last century. :greengrin
