I assume you have seen your doctor over this. DVT can be fatal. I assumed they'd give you something to thin the blood

yeezus.

What about compression stockings?

What about compression stockings?

The doctor said they are not much good and not to use them?

I'm suprised by this. I suffered from severe blood clots during chemotherapy, and I was told to wear them for two full years after the DVT to prevent Post DVT Syndrome. (Basically to prevent varicose vains). If I were you, I'd seek a second opinion.

If you want to get compression stockings, get knee length if your DVY was below the knee, or thigh length otherwise. I found it helped with the throbbing and aching. IMO, they are money well spent, even if you don't go to see another doctor.

As for outright pain relief, I was on painkillers anyway, so it's difficult for me to say. If you could get your hands on morphine you'll feel better, but you might never leave the house again! Magic stuff! :zzzzz!:
