Despite being 48 years young St Johnstone have become only the 10th Scottish Cup Winners in my lifetime.

Hibs have been in 5 finals losing them all.

Hibs overall record in finals 2 wins from 13. Hearts 8 from 14. Aberdeen 7 from 15. St Johnstone 1 from 1.

It's a funny old game.

Congratulations St Johnstone and their fans well played.

Sorry for useless stats post.

I'm 26 this year and I've only seen eight different clubs win the Scottish Cup;

Rangers R.I.P (9)
Celtic (8)
H****s (3)
Dundee Utd (2)
Aberdeen (1)
Kilmarnock (1)
Motherwell (1)
St Johnstone (1)

Of the 13 / 14 Scottish Premiership clubs only Partick, ICT, Ross County and Hibs have failed to win the Scottish cup in the last 30 years and two of them have only been professional clubs for a short time.

Not at all Spike. actually work in Perth so pleased for them, you and I are obviously 'of an age' actually my first day at Hampden was the '72 cup final. my record of all finals (Scottish, League and Drybourgh) is win 5 lose 5 but I still live in hope. I feel for the younger fans who know nothing but failure.

still waiting for a dvd copy of our 1902 win.

I realise that the earlier one may be difficult to find.

Of the 13/14 Premiership clubs, only Partick Thistle, Hibs, Ross County and Inverness CT have failed to win the Scottish Cup in the last 93 years.

Of that bunch, Partick Thistle won the cup most recently in 1921.

I've watched both cup finals today. Well done st Johnstone on their cup win. I thought sponny was unlucky not to score. And arsenal done well to come back and score 3 but i would liked to have seen it go into penalty's from a neutral point of view. But watching the hull fans got me thinking of us last year. 3 nil down but out singing Celtic at the final whistle shows him much support our fans can show. We still have the passion inside us to support Hibernian football club to the very end and hope the playoffs go in our favour so we can forget the worst season I have certainly seen and move on into pre season starting a fresh with something to look forward to.

The thing about history is it's all in the past ;)

As the Dali Lama is quoted to have said there are two days that don't count in the year, yesterday and tomorrow.

Unfortunately for Hibs living in this particular moment is horrific I don't know what mr Lama recommends for that however...

Well Oram, considering the pain that much older Hibbies have had to go through regarding the Scottish cup, you have done not too bad being at three Scottish cup finals by the age of nineteen. No need to inform us that we lost them though, we are all painfully aware of that !! By the way, it was 2001, not 2003.

What made you convert from supporting Dundee to Hibs?
