Both Hamilton and Falkirk play on artificial surfaces at their grounds. Could that affect how we play or the result?

Possibly not too much if it's Hoofball! :/

More important than ever that KT is playing as he is the one player who can control the game and the tempo of the match.

Will his fragile legs handle the surface though? Not sure how good these more modern surfaces are? Was there not talk of Hibs getting one installed?

Modern surfaces are pretty good though I think there is an advantage when you are training and playing on the regularly.

If butcher has any sense then he will arrange at least one bounce game on one so the players can understand the different playing properties. And trust me, there are differences!

Not doing this would be negligence IMO. I'm sure they could organise a game at our new feeder club Spartans on their premier pitch. Fsr better to play on a newer, better quality surface than the one up at East Mains.

I remember watching Liverpool at QPR back in the 80's and the plastic pitch gave QPR a definite advantage as their players seemed to anticipate the bounce better. Can't remember the score but a little group of QPR fans sidling close to the away end where I was had really silly little chants and gestures which entertained more than the game.

Artificial pitches at East Mains as well as grass I thought .

Possibly just training / 5-a-side . Anyone confirm ?

Full size pitch out side. All our youth teams play against Hamilton on their 4g pitch and some even win and score goals! Maybe better if we get them to play!

We also seem to have plenty 'artificial footballers' at East Mains too......

Given how terrible we've been on grass all season, it might be a blessing in disguise :greengrin

The team needs a root and branch review anyway.

Would we not be entitled to train on either pitch at Falkirk or Hamilton prior to the game? Considering we do not play on these surfaces in the Premier League I`d say it would not be unreasonable to be doing so.

We played against Gibraltar on an artificial surface pre season. One of the few games I've seen us win this year.
