A memorial service has been held to mark the 29th anniversary of the Bradford City football stadium fire, in which 56 people died.

I remember watching it live at the time & if you watch it on YouTube now it's horrific, RIP

Sadly I also remember seeing it at the time -truely horrific - RIP to all involved and I hope the families found solice in the support of fans from all clubs in the wake of the disaster :pray:

The crowd at the Derby game had a minutes applause which was due to take place in the 56th minute, but, the players spoiled it by scoring! :-)

They still did it a couple of mins later though.

29 years ago. Doesn't seemed that long ago but I remember it well and the donation buckets in the pub that night.

Another football tragedy that should never have happened.

R.I.P to all who never returned home that sad day.

Remember it very well - was shocking just how quickly the fire spread. With Heysel happening only a fortnight or so later, it was a dark, tragic month for football.
