I read your posts and they make me feel worse... yeah, there's no logic there but I do it anyway.
A lot of them are Hibs fans, there's a very good chance they'll want to see what's being discussed about them and the club.
If the players haven't already figured out by now whats being discussed about them and the club, then i'd like to know what planet they're living on.
The players know exactly what to expect when they come on here considering the position that we're in. So they're hardly going to come on here hoping for some positive feedback.

Yeah, why would they come on a Hibs supporters' site looking for a bit of support?

Go on then. I have not seen one person on this thread especially saying he should remain where he is.Then go and look on the Should Petrie leave Hibs in all capacities thread, and you'll find (at this point in time) 27 of them. I can't be backsided checking if any of them have posted on this thread.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you had said anyone could have done what he's done. As for the overspending with McLeish, we spent within our means but the financial landscape changed with the collapse of the Sky deal and we took drastic (and early) steps to steady the ship.
None of that means he should still be here now, I'll point to my earlier statement which said that I have long since felt that there was a need for change at the top.
I guess I just don't see the constant denial that you're talking about, save for maybe one or two posters, which is hardly reflective of the general mood or opinion. I challenge anyone to name someone that thinks that he has done no wrong, though.
I think there are maybe 4 posters who nit pick at the ones who want Rod out without actually backing why he should stay. They just regurgitate the same stuff about how well he's done before. I think most see the good he's done in the past because he did no matter what we think of him now.
What ever happens I strongly feel right or wrong he should be removed from Hibernian football club with immediate effect and Sir Tom Farmer should make a statement through the media for everyone to know that if he really wants to sell Hibs then let as many folk know as possible.
I'm sorry you don't keep hold of something that keeps costing you money for years and years. I'd like love it if someone called his bluff and made a serious offer.
Then go and look on the Should Petrie leave Hibs in all capacities thread, and you'll find (at this point in time) 27 of them. I can't be backsided checking if any of them have posted on this thread. One poster said NO ..on that thread & 27 folk have voted NO ..so from that you assume they are hibs fans ...? ..but bearing in mind it is a closed poll so you don't actually know who posted yes & who posted no ..

I can't see why any player reading this thread would be anything other than cheered up, by the fact that there are at least some supporters who recognise what they themselves will know to a greater or lesser extent depending on their age, intelligence, and maturity - that Petrie is a complete waste of human skin.
I personally haven't slagged the players on this or any other thread, because I genuinely believe that ultimately they are not to blame. I genuinely believe that the players we had, and the players we brought in at the start of the season, were good enough to perform well in this atrociously weak league.
But I also know, from both personal or professional experience that no organisation - whether it's a football club, a business, a church, a political party, an army, or a local drama club - can succeed, whatever resources it has, unless it has top quality leadership at the very highest level. As truehibernian put it:
A really successful, strong organisation has strong defined leadership at the top which emanates down through the workforce, identifying staff who can match their goals and vision...We appear to have a leader who equates 'leadership' with 'being Billy Big Boots'. He has no real qualities of leadership whatsoever. He has many qualities that make for an ideal second-in-command, and unfortunately he got made leader. We just keep on paying and paying for that blunder.

I would have thought the only person in the world Hearts fans love more than Terry Butcher is Rod Petrie.

I could easily put together a list of members on here who think Petrie should remain where he is.
Some have been very quiet around these parts lately. But there are still quite a few who are vocal about wanting him to stay.
Not that they're not entitled to have their opinion. But it would be nice to know their reasonings behind it. Because I honestly can't see myself what Petrie offers us that nobody else could.
Come on then, are you calling them out or what?

It's ironic that you finish a sentence citing age, intelligence, and maturity with the bit in bold.

Yep, definitely maroonic behaviour, and you can be sure there'll be plenty of them amongst the opposition fans for both legs of the play off. We'll be able to smell their breath across the stadium. They're obsessed.

I really wonder if Petrie would see it as such a disaster if we were relegated. His whole mind set is about the money and he knows we would be guaranteed Hearts and Rangers games plus possible local matches with Dunfermline, all likely to bring in lot more revenue than the likes of Ross County or Inverness. If we are doing well in the league then attendances would probably be a lot higher than for a team near the bottom of the Premier.
I hope this is wrong.
