I would doubt it also. The very least Hibs should do is give a reduction for season ticket holders but I would't hold my breath.

Another kick in the nuts if they don't let us use them. Wonder if they will let us cancel our season tickets or give us a sweetener for next season. Nah, doubt that either.

"If you love Hibs, you'll give us all your money."

I'll play for tickets and transport to the two games but after that serious consideration will be given as to whether Hibs get any of my money next season.

Fair enough but it would be a nice touch for a game that Hibs should never find themselves playing in the first place. If the games televised then the crowd will be terrible.

The other team will never agree to it as they get a shared gate. Hibs could stump up the cash but I doubt they will.

If season ticket holders need to pay then the team should have done a lap of honour after the game to say thanks to those season ticket holders who have paid money to watch their crap all season, but that never happened, therefore I want season ticket holders to be able to get in for nothing.

Totally see your point and it will be a big call from Hibs. Ticket prices and TV will totally dictate the attendance.

Fans should get in free or minimum £5 quid a ticket - it's the least they can do to us - if not can see a poor crowd sadly.

johnnyfelly
10-05-2014, 02:44 PM
10 quid adults 5 quid kids sounds pretty fair, they need to fill the place regardless of media coverage

hibeesjoe
10-05-2014, 02:52 PM
If they do the cup type pricing of £20 and £10 for kids and the games on the TV then I will think about maybe not bothering purely down to financial reasons.

It's not exactly a game they can brag about or put some sort of marketing spin on too get the crowds in.

If £400 for my season ticket wasnt enough, they can think again if they try charging £20+ for a game we should never be involved in.

Edit. I will be there regardless though. As much as I wish/want to walk away. It's bloody impossible.

:agree:

Considering you're paying full whack for games that could potentially be at Championship level, it would be a bit of a cheek not to let ST holders in for free.

The result in the first leg could also have a big part to play on dictating the home leg attendance.

If it's any help, they reduced the prices the last time we were in a Play Off to £8.

The thing is, the idea was that they would encourage as many people along as possible, to roar the team over the finish line. With the current team we have, that is blatantly pointless.

A big, noisy crowd does help.

It can only do so much though and we need to score the first goal.

If the opposition score then it's almost game over. That's becoming a fact.

Maybe because they've paid for a season ticket this season and renewed for next season so would like the club to give them something back for the loyalty they have shown to a poor team.

Maybe because they've paid for a season ticket this season and renewed for next season so would like the club to give them something back for the loyalty they have shown to a poor team.

That would mean the club would lose money because some people feel they are entitled to a free gift.

Saying that, maybe those who buy one for next season could get in for nothing but we have to cover costs.

Should be a £10 for adults £5 for Kids. Lets fill ER for the home tie.

Sir David Gray
10-05-2014, 05:43 PM
I understand the logic behind why people are saying it won't happen, due to it not being a league game etc, but I honestly think that making season tickets valid for this game is the least that the club can do.

The fact that we are even involved in this game is an absolute disgrace, even although it's been inevitable for weeks.

I think expecting season ticket holders to pay even more money for a game that Hibernian FC should never be playing is a major slap in the face and will seriously affect the attendance.

I hope they really think hard about this one.

I seriously hope not.

It's not like England where all the play-off participants are going for promotion. I can't see them presenting a trophy to a club that's just narrowly avoided relegation.

Surely the club wouldn't want to receive a trophy anyway, if we happen to get through this tie and a trophy was offered to us.

The fact that most Hibernian fans, fans of other clubs and the media give Hibernian next to no chance on a two legged play off v Hamilton or Falkirk says it all about the state Hibernian are currently in. In 1997 we similarly got dragged into a play off due to the fact we couldn't win late season (we could not even beat already relegated Raith on last day of season to avoid play off) and I am fairly sure everyone was saying we'd struggle to beat Airdrie. I hope for a similar outcome this time.

You're right I don't think anyone was giving us a chance all the papers were talking about was what Airdrie were going to do to us. Especially when we only won 1-0 at Easter Road. Luckily Darren Jackson and Jim Leighton, who saved a penalty when we were 1-0 down, got us through it. Only to be relegated the next season.
