With the Bottom 6 being so tight and clearly getting that 1 win is vital to avoid The Playoff.

But every place is also worth roughly £80k.

7th rather than 10th is about an extra £200k.

:agree:

Even although I consider 7th to be abject failure. 7th is the best we're going to get, so we may as well get it.

But we're going to have to start scoring more goals as well as winning. Because the way things are panning out, goal difference could play a major factor in our finishing position.

And top 8 get a bye, in the early round of the a league Cup

If we finish 7th we can buy another James Collins.

:D

Or worse still that would have been enough to buy Leigh.

I don't care where Hibs finish so long as it's not 11th (or worse). £80,000 or so is neither here nor there compared to the financial consequences of relegation.

£80,000, although nice to have, is peanuts set against the implication of reduced attendances over the long term. It's only approximately equivalent to an extra 300 people every week through the gate over the course of a season. Our financial priority as a club should be attracting more people to attend games.

How could we possibly finish worse than 11th?

Good lord, winning a cup for not going down.

England have it as it's for all the teams challenging to go up and doesn't include an epl team
