Sitting at work today and talking to a couple of my colleagues about some of the obscure players we have had and they were talking about ones at there team (Pars & Motherwell). They mentioned a lot of players that also played at Hibs like Sneddon, Skinner and the german pornstar Lehman. We challenged each other to come up with an obscure team which just turned into a team that would probably make us laugh if they ran out the tunnel. So here is mine just for a bit fun.... be good to see what others on here think would be a "fun team" and take us away from the pain the past few weeks has given us

GK: Yves MaKalamby
LB : Paul Lovering
CB : Steven Thicot
CB : Darren Dodds
RB : Kujabi
LM : Tony Rougier
CM : Thomas Schmugge
CM : Justin Skinner
RM : Alan O’Brien
CF: Shefi Kuqi
CF : Mark McGraw

I loved the games when we had a comfortable lead and then Mowbray would bring on the Mali Magician. If we were winning we'd get right behind him and hope he'd score. My only regret is that he never did (in such a fixture). The stadium would have erupted.

What's a "comfortable lead"? I don't think I've heard of such a thing in a long, long time :greengrin

I loved Tony the Tiger when I was younger 1 in every 12 games he was incredible! Remember a derby at ER where it was that 1 in 12 and he had them on toast every time he had the ball.....only problem was they just wherent giving him the ball that day  Never forget how daft my old man was going

I think this is the ultimate cult heroes/WTF team

Budgie, Hong Kong Thierry, PC Dave Beaumont, Humphrey Rudge (just for the name) , Jimmy Boco, Jarko Wiss, Sir Chic Charnley, Ray 'less mobile than in his younger days' Wilkins, Tony Rougier, Derek Townsley, Ricky Hill.

Thicot and Dodds would walk into our current team both are better centre halfs than what we have now, sad but true

Maybe add Hourtado and Konte into a team aswell

Remember how good Konte was in the 2-1 game against Hearts and then got us into Europe

Always wished it would work out for him.

Remember his ducking from headering the ball against Celtic ? :faf:

Don't get that at all. Doumbe was a cracking player and we've had a few forwards down the years who were worse than nish.

Wearing the black away strip I would like to see the reception this team might get at The P.B.S.
I would draft in Mark Walters as manager and Hearts could have Medals McKay in their dugout...just for fun..

Me too. Pressley and Webster couldn't cope with the big fellae that night. Didn't he score the vital goal at Motherwell to get us into Europe?

Alan Sneddon was hardly obscure. He won medals at Celtic and then played for us for over ten years!

Unless there's a Sneddon I haven't heard about!

Peter Guggi has got to be in there. Played half a season when we were last in Division 1 and impregnated circa 5% of the the local population of "eligible maidens"!

Yes, yes he did! While sitting on his arse as far as I can remember! Great finish! Gutted when his header at the PBS hit the bar before sheils rammed in the rebound!

Always thought we should have gone for a psycho midfield pairing of Calum Milne and Davie Farrell.

My team wasn't supposed to be our worst players, was more a selection of my favourites.

I don't remember doumbe much as I was pretty young but I remember hearing the doumbe's gonna get you chant and thinking it was brilliant.

I agree with you on Nish as well.

He was alleged to be doing the same bird as a hearts player was. Kevin Thomas I think.

Remember going down to Walsall for e pre season freindly . First pub we hit in Walsall we heard someone through in the pool bit of the bar singing Hibs songs . Went through and there was a very drunk Mr Goram . You no playing the day Andy . Am i fluck , he says . But he did buy the bus a round of drinks .
The Walsall reserve goal keeper played in goals for us and we won 3-1 .
No sure if it made the papers but a true story .
