He needn't worry, we won't be saying their sorry selves next season unless it's in the cup, I'm sure of that.

If Hibs do go down and with Dunfermline coming up, next seasons Championship could prove to be a good old fashioned title fight that hasn't been seen in Scotland for decades, involving the llikes of Hibs, The Rangers, Dunbarton, Dunfermline, Raith Rovers etc.

We wont go down though (i hope).

Glad someone is...

If we go down, Dunfermline come up and say Hamilton get into the Premiership, that Championship will be better to be in. TV deal?

Hibs, Hearts, RAngers, Dundee, Falkirk, Raith, Dunfermline just to name 7 clubs, then you have QOS as well. Would be a great league. Maybe Petrie WANTS to be there!! Cheaper buses to away games too instead of these trips to Aberdeen and the Highlands

If Hamilton win the championship and we go down in the playoff (the scenario described in hibs4thecup's post above) then one of falkirk dundee or QOS will have been promoted ie hibs falkirk dundee and QOS won't all be in the championship next season.

SevCo being skint doesn`t mean a jot to this hopeless idiot. He knows he`s incompetent and needs to outspend the opposition to have any chance at all. This is Sally, with the help of his publicists in the media, putting out the scare stories to try and put pressure on Wallace into giving him more money to waste.

Spot on, nowhere near as media savvy as he used to be, his coat might even be on a shoogly peg given how much he has spent to get this far, as for playing the scared of Hibs card, that will just show Wallace how out of touch with reality Sally has become - Raith bloody Rovers who hadn't won or scored in months weren't scared of us, neither is any other team who roll up to ER to collect their points - do keep up Sally, Hibs joining the party probably wont happen but if it did with even less money for next season we won't be much of a threat.

If we go down (hopefully not) but if the unthinkable happens can we (Hibs) write an article in the Daily Record saying we are equally scared of the Rangers but also Hearts, Dumbarton, Falkirk, Raith Rovers plus whatever other dross is in that league. If we went down we could be down there for years as there would be zero money to sign players

I'm earlier in the season the Raith Rovers chairman made a statement to deny his players had been instructed to stop trying to get promoted and stay in the Championship because of the quality next season.

if memory serves me correct the Dumbarton chairman at the time (this was a few years ago, mind) stated he didn't want his promotion chasing side to get promoted to the first division (now the Championship) as they couldn't afford to go full time.

wonder what would happen if a part time club like Alloa, Cowdenbeath or in fact Dumbarton made it into the SPL? Would they be allowed in part time?

I've thought for years that Alloa had an unwritten policy never to get promoted out of their comfort zone, either business-wise or football related. They've had seasons when they've looked good for going the whole hog but always seem to level off when promotion might not suit them.
