I'm going. Hopefully a friend will be going too. He's been trying to come to an EOS match for months, but not made it yet.

I can keep everyone on here updated (just don't ask me to name any scorers!)

Think my dad is going so ask him players name :)

I can tell you about 4 for certain. I get confused really easily so the players wearing different numbers depending on who's playing really gets me. Ha ha.
I shall go on the fishy site tonight and learn them now though. :greengrin

I should be easy to spot. I'll be the one looking confused and peering at players trying to work out who's who when we score all our goals (a Jamie Beaton free kick would be appreciated, as would a goal from Martin to start).

Hope a lot of folk who can't make it through to Paisley (like me) turn out in big numbers to give the young Hibees their backing. A point will be enough, but would be nice to finish with a win.
'mon the Young Hibees!!!

EOS Title Decider Today

*19 Apr 2014

Hibernian EOS are back in Central Taxis First Division action against Easthouses Lily Miners Welfare at the Training Centre (kick off 2.30pm, admission is via donation to a bucket collection); the result determines who will be crowned champions.

Heading into the fixture, Hibernian EOS are just one point ahead of Easthouses in top spot, but the Midlothian-based club defeated the young Hibees 4-1 back in November.

So it promises to be an eventful afternoon of football and if you can't make it through to Paisley to support the first team then please head along to Ormiston to cheer on James McDonaugh's team.

There will be limited number of programmes available to purchase at the Training Centre (price: 50p). Your support is appreciated and good luck to Hibernian EOS.

Great second half performance from all the men in green! Yes they are only 17/18 years old but they all play and act like mature men who give their all for the hibs strip!
I am very proud of them today and James McDonaugh, it's been a hard season but the bond between them has kept the team going.

We still have at least 2 cup games at east of scotland level, one is next Saturday at east mains kick off 2.30pm. Hopefully Hibs get them out on the pitch at Easter road next week for a round of applause

Agreed, going to make a point of going to watch the U20's more often than the first team until things improve, good performances, goals, and pride for the shirt.

Top of Spfl under 20s league with 3 games to play but Celtic and rangers have more games still to play.

The eos side play in a league for any age and our side is mainly 16-19 year olds who play in this league and Spfl under 20s

After all those lads have had to endure this season they are a total credit to the club.

To win one league and finish at least 3rd in another is one hell of an achievement. Good on them.

Great afternoon at EM - even first 10/15 minutes with the young lads dominating the half after that but for some poor choices in last 1/3 rd could have been 2 or 3 up at half time with Dean Horribine a stand out playing on right of midfield (also full backs were excellent given that both had replaced the much vaunted black & baptie)
EL had a couple of chances right at end of half.

Second half similar for first 10 then with substitutions / formation change that made the difference with particularly Max Todd introduced giving a real thrust on LHS including his excellent goal. After goal the lads created some more good opportunities and with Smith pushed further forward there was only going to be one winner (he should have added to the one he scored).

Not totally at their best but got the championship over the line - great entertainment and great future prospects that we need to see integrated into the 1st team if we are ever to get out the cycle of mediocrity

Never made this due to yesterdays torture in Paisley.

Anyone know how the EOS side will pan out next year? Do they step up a Division now? (Not sure it is as straightforward as that although it looks like two up two down on the EOS website).

I see they still have a tie coming up in the King Cup (older readers will remember the Hibs Colts winning this!) and a League Cup campaign still to settle after topping the qualifying.

Do Hibs intend to keep the EOS side going? I hope so.

From my understanding we will be playing in the east of scotland premier league next season.

Both Hibs and Easthouses are definitely promoted to the EOS Premier Division.

However according to a recent EEN article the Lowland League plan to expand from 12 teams to 16 and over half of the 7 applicants are "understood" to come from Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Should the 4 applicants who are selected come from the EOS that would leave the EOS with only 16 teams which I suppose would be too few to operate 2 leagues. So it could be that Hibs will be in the only EOS league.:greengrin
