Me and a friend are planning on making the trip to Paisley by train. Anyone going on any train's from Edinburgh and know what would be the best train to catch or route to take?

Train to Glasgow (Central or Queen St depending on where you are coming from) then head to Central and get the train to Paisley St James (every half an hour 6mins past and 36mins past the hour).

You can see the ground from the station when you get off.

Edin-QST. Walk to Central then train from there.

This would be my first attempt at the Queen Street to Central, would there be a lot of fans, how long would it take etc

Come out right hand exit st QST when through the barriers No more than ten minutes. Walk down Buchannan st (pedestrianised) about 500 yds, turn right and you should see the central station. Pretty sure it's signposted as well. Buy two separate tix. Return to Glasgow then return from Glasgow to Paisley st James it's cheaper.

If there 3 4 or 5 of you then you can get group saves between edin and Glasgow.

Walking from Queens Street to Central takes about 10 minutes and it's dead easy to find.

I would (maybe) also suggest getting off at Paisley Gilmour Street; you have to walk about 15 minutes instead of 5 but it's a lot handier if you want to have a pint in Paisley itself. Depends on your plans of course.

No, only 1600 max and only a small amount will get the train. Trains are frequent so fans will be spread out.

Think you're cheaper getting 2 individual returns if you are going from Waverly. Ie one for edi-GQs and another for GCen-Paisley as opposed to one Edi-Paisley return.
