View Full Version : Which team would enhance the Scottish premiership next season?

The championship is between 3 clubs and which one would you like to be promoted? Also it could be two?

Personally Dundee is a good away day and certainly better than Hamilton or Falkirk!

Threave Rovers or maybe Burntisland Shipyard would enhance the SPL massively, considering the cheating flybynight malodorous charity stealing paedo-apologising asbestos inhaling excuse for a football club they would now be definately replacing. So - everyone's a winner it would seem!

Dundee - have a soft spot for them. :agree:

From a selfish perspective, I would like it to be Falkirk just so I don't have far to go.

I love being back in my house by 5:10pm whenever we play them at the Falkirk Stadium! :greengrin

Also wouldn't mind Dundee coming up as I went to Dens Park for the first time last season and quite enjoyed it. Miles better than Tannadice.

Really wouldn't want Hamilton coming back up.

Dundee would be most convenient as an away day, for me at least it we're being selfish :greengrin.

Falkirk maybe deserve it though; they've got a young, exciting team and that's the only way Scottish football is going to survive. Good on them.

Dundee would at least bring back a Dundee Derby. No where near as big as the Edinburgh derby but would still enhance the league with the cheating Jambos being out.

Dundee. Great atmosphere last (?) time we were up there even though most of it concerned Sparky. And we got humped.

Dundee would bring the biggest support. Would also love to see Dumbarton promoted through the playoff (obviously not at our expense!) or maybe QOS the club has been slowly building and progressing for years, and it would only be half way to travel:wink:

Dundee and Falkirk could both come up. Wouldn't mind losing Ross county from the SPFL

I'd like to see QOS get a chance too.

Dundee financially, Falkirk geographically.

Ideal scenario all round IMO.

Dundee. Decent crowds and return of the tayside derby would enhance the league. Falkirk in the playoffs would be good too with Ross County going the other way.

I'd be happy with that purely because it's not a million miles to travel to either of them and Ross County is a trek. :greengrin

Dundee. I've always liked them for a reason I can't put my finger on.

Think it's something to do with a couple of goals Bobby Ball scored but not sure. Maybe there is video evidence of this occurence somewhere.

Probably Dundee, although Hamilton deserve real credit for their excellent youth system. Falkirk as well have brought through players through financial necessity.

Dundee and Falkrik seem the obvious choices but I'd personally quite like to see Livi come back up soon. Essentially an Edinburgh team and geographically it's a very convenient away day for me.

Falkirk and Livi very close away games :) although livi will be lucky to still be in existence with all the new debts they have

Falkirk bring a decent support to ER which obviously can't be said for livi

They never really screwed anyone over in doing so bar themselves though so I don't really understand the bitterness.

I, along with many hibees, have a wee soft spot for the Dee. God knows why:confused:

Dundee mainly because they have a half decent support, but all others mentioned get a shout, just wish we could have an 18 team league more interesting away days and the way we are right now, a bit of a buffer from the bottom.

Albion Hibs

Falkirk as it is easy to get to, decent away trip, reasonable stadium (well part of) not a bad support and it tends to be host to a high scoring away win!

Out it with that probably Dundee or livingston for mostly the same reasons. Hamilton is a dump and a pain to get to, plus we never faired that well there in recent years.

Agreed, in think next season will show there is merit in a bigger league. There is definitely enough teams for at least a 16 team premier league!

So do I. In my youth Dundee were always an entertaining side with guys like Jocky Scott and Alan Cousins. They had success in Europe too in the 60s.

I'd say Dundee.
Good for SPL as they have a derby to sell/ advertise as no cream buns or hearts and defo good for United as they will get extra cash from 1/2 full houses in the derby.

I love going to grounds like Dens Park, Tannadice and Fir Park. Proper grounds as opposed to Lego sets like St Mirren, Falkirk, Hamilton, St Johnstone.

They might not sell out the derbies, but surely they'll get more than half the tickets sold...

Dundee and falkirk for me with ross county dropping out. Would put me back to having visited every ground in the league.

Dundee for me. Decent away support and the Premiership could do with another derby, especially if its Ross County who go down.

As for Falkirk and Hamilton I have nothing against either club, but the last thing the top league needs is another half finished ground, though if New Douglas park had two more stands like the existing ones it would be a cracking wee ground.
