I see that Mr. Romaonv has been arrested under the international warrant issued against him by Russian police.
This I find quite interesting in the current political climate as it isnt like the Russians to arrest "their own" (he is Russian born) and hand them over to other states as seems likely to happen.
Currently the Baltic States are really feeling the chill coming out of Moscow and are nervous about future intentions of their neighbours. Of course Russia is keen to impress on them they have nothing to fear but this hasnt stopped increased NATO patrols over the region and the muted discussions about permanent military bases in the baltic countries.
Is there a diplomatic edge to Mr Romanov's sudden arrest by Russian authorities who lets be honest most likely knew exactly where he was all along?
Is Mr Romanov now finding out that he's just another pawn in the big geo-politcal game of chess the big countries play and he's being given over as a "gesture of goodwill" by the Russians... You know... "Heres one of your most wanted, we got him for you, we're good guys, honestly".......
I find the timing of this sudden arrest to be interesting and wonder if anyone else had any thoughts?
