Craig was slow and ponderous with Falkirk, at St johnstone they played him as a lazy wide left player where he used his good delivery to good effect and also scored a fair number of goals. He has never been a competitive central midfielder and never will be. It's not lack of effort, he is just too slow both with reaction time and pace. You could describe quite a few other current Hibs players with that last sentence.
