I know they look in here so please, please believe me when I say..... I hope it hurts like **** everyone of those trumpets. You are finished, even if Monday went their way Hearts will now become a bang average first division side at best. That's if they are LUCKY!

Pleased to see them go down and all that but if the big L hits them on Monday and they are unable to fulfill their fixtures all matches against them go to 3 0 win for the other club. This would mean we get six points more , Partick St Mirren and Ross County get 5 and Killie 0 points which helps us greatly even more pleasing.

They did well to last just before the split, with what they've got left.
They also humiliated us three times despite us supposedly having a chance to 'get our own back', against a poor side.

They went down fighting, thrashing Thistle; we'll not be able to say the same if we end up 11th. :aok:
They got hammered a few times, as did we, but worse still was that we couldn't even relegate them when they handed us the opportunity.

They have partly helped us by taking points from bottom six sides.
They still have a part to play and we could be thanking them should they take points against the bottom teams.

They have gone down while humiliating us again. The last derby will be massive in damage limitation for fans, STs and whatnot.
Once again we're getting a chance to do something and we'll blow it again. We'll suffer without the derby too if we don't become some sort of 2nd place behemoth that plays like John Hughes thinks ICT play.

Yep, they are kidding nobody with all that bulls***. They are only kidding themselves and are hurting, big style. If only they were honest and admit it, but honesty seems to be something in very short supply at HOMFC. If my team had just been relegated I know I would be hurting. The championship is NOT the best league. It's a crap backwater of a league that decent players would not want to play in. I would also be very worried if my club was facing the possibility of liquidation depending on some meeting thousands of miles away.

That's just how I feel about today's relegation. I'm certainly not celebrating yet considering their relegation today has come from St. Mirren picking up 3 points (against a top-six side - which is even worse).
Thanks to St. Mirren relegating Hearts by picking up 3 points before the split, we are well and truly in the clamber to avoid the play-off.

I don't admire them either, I just think they've done well to last as long as they have done. Though I'll miss such a big fixture, as will our club going by the fall in attendances, any club that runs up costs that lead to insolvency deserve to disappear altogether.
It may be an unthinkable thought to so many, to be thankful for Hearts' results, but they have taken a fair amount of points off the bottom teams already. Their definite relegation means that them picking up points against teams below us, could prove vital.

I think celebrating their relegation is premature at the very least; St. Mirren, Partick Thistle & Hearts have shown that they are more than capable of taking 3 points off us.

If you want me to be more jovial, how about Romanov's 'League Winners' bus? Still useable: :aok:

Like I said, just read the post, they have partly helped us by taking points off our play-off rivals over the course of the season.
They'll be even more important for us in the split, as they will be for others teams, since they can take points of our play-off rivals without being a threat themselves.
I feel you selectively quoted and read into my post incorrectly and I never said I 'admired' them either.

That's all just my opinion and I believe they still have a big role to play for us avoiding the play-offs.

Cat let's be honest here, our derby record is shocking, we aim to get through derbys not win them. It's not really about the result / how we play in Derbys we NEED to win them. The humiliation if someone calls it so lies in the inability to know you'll win before a ball is kicked 2 decades strong. All be it they'll get they're medicine in due course. It's the basic lack of fight that's the most disappointing.

I can't muster any great celebration either. We've known they were going down for ages so it's a bit of a damp squib now it's finally happened.

I'm far more concerned about our own fate. We are so bad that relegation is a serious possibility for us too. Wouldn't that be just great?

It was originally a funny photoshop, made for the derby.

It had the Man Utd 'Moyes Out' flyover, with 'Butcher Out' on.
There was Rudi Skacel sitting on the top-deck and Romanov 'shushing' just behind the bus.
The bus shelter had 'Pink Bus Shelter' as a sign on top, with the garages painted maroon.

Edited to use before people start calling me a yam or Jambo.
It could still make an appearance if we beat them at Easter Road...

they were relegated anyway so I'm not buying into the whole relegation celebration thing.

I would have preferred Motherwell to have won today as it makes our position slightly more precarious although at least county, killie and partick got beat.

from the point that their relegation was a certainty we should have turned our focus in our own team. having said that their predicament has been a welcome distraction this season. it's only this that has made being a hibs fan this season bearable!

I'll have to avoid driving along Gorgie Road tomorrow.

If it's a good thing for them to be promoted to the First Division with all it's attractions and promises of riches we can expect the open topped bus parade with 400,000 scarf twirlers being led along by Pishy Breeks and Medals Mackay.

On the other hand.............. Has a team in the history of world football ever been relegated and liquidated within 3 days?

What i want to know now is, by saying (hilariously)that they will return to be the 3rd force in Scottish football again, they are at last admitting that they are no longer the 3rd force.
So if they are not anymore, does that make Hibs the 3rd force now? and who exactly is the second force? it's very confusing, it always was.

Nope, traditionally it's all done more subtly and kept back till around about the time of the British Open. How humiliating if they do while the world is actually watching.

OK, I've calmed down a bit now, lets start again. Yes, they have taken points off the other bottom 6 clubs, but so has every other team in the league. What I'm trying to say (badly) is I don't necessarily feel they, or any other club, has helped us. I stand by what I said about them not having "humiliated" us. I agree you never said you admired them. I said that, and I apologise for that.

I am in the Jambo free zone of Southern California. Been here for years and never met anyone that's supported them, mentioned them or even heard of them. It's 2:30pm and I skipped the beers and went straight to margaritas being as I happen to be in San Diego this weekend and the tequila bar outside the hotel kind of makes them appealing. Margaritas, Jambos down. Gaslamp district next. Great place to have a celebration. F the Hearts!!!!

They relegated themselves apparently...as if they had a choice.

If they were that much in control of their own destiny, why didn't they just not relegate themselves?

This feels a lot better than I thought it would.

This must be high brow Big Club stuff that us peg-sellers don't understand. Maybe it's not a 'real' relegation if you relegate yourself, just like it is not a 'real' debt when you owe it to yourself.

I think they can still qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Don't worry, though, because one of them has already assured me that Hearts and The Rangers will be winning all the major Cup Competitions between them next season. I'm not sure if he counted the Ramsdens Cup among that group.
