I seem to remember he was only expected to be out for about 6 weeks so surely it must be just round the corner.

Sooner the better. Seems to work well with Liam Craig. We need Craig back to his best now. We don't have many goals in the team and he knows where the goals are.

entirely agree when those two were working in partnership it did appear we had a midfield.

With things getting tight at the bottom it would be great to have him back for the post split games

I just noticed that the first game post split is the 19th of April, there is a free week in between the aberdeen game and the game against St Mirren so maybe a wee chance he could get back.

Free week due to SC Semi's. Give TB and MM time to think about our escape plan........

Robertson was doing a lot of running by himself last Tuesday at east mains when I was out there, hopefully a sign of him being back in full training soon

Since Butcher came, Robertson has played 10 games and in these games our record is W 4, D 3, L 3, F 12, A 8. Since his injury we have also played 10 games and our record is W 1, D 3, L 6, F 10, A 22. He may not be the best player in the world, but his energy and ability to get from box to box has been really missed in our midfield, particularly defensively as he has a presence and heading ability.

Incidentally, the defence in those games was pretty much exactly the same as it is now, except for Hanlon having missed the last couple of games.

Hope he is back for st midden came...I agree our best player by some distance (not saying much I kno) but I like Robbo. He gives 110% every game...unlike many of our wage thieves at present. No coincidence that Craigs form has slumped since Robertson got injured..

But if he hasn't had game time even at under 20 level he won't be match fit and that can work against us as we saw when Harris made comeback against Aberdeen and didn't close flood down when he hit winner .

Paul Hanlon has missed more than a couple of games in the run you mention.

I agree, Robertson and Hanlon have been our best players this season. The team suffers when they are not playing.

Think they would certainly of been key in TB s thinking in the run in given our situation so that is a big blow combined with other suspensions that are could kick in during run in and into knowing if we will pick up other injuries

You are correct, I didn't realise Hanlon had missed the Celtic game too. So Hanlon missed 3 games in the 10 without Robertson. 8 goals conceded in those 3 games too. He missed 1 game which Robertson played in which we conceded 3 goals.

We're going to miss Hanlon massively in the run in too.

If Robertson gets fit how about this for the midfield and strikers:-

Robertson-Thomson

Watmore-Stanton-Craig

Anyone from our endless pool of talented strikers

Not saying it would be great and not saying it is a long term answer, just trying to cobble something together from what we have. A formation and use of personnel I don't think we have really tried as yet.

Would really like to see that midfield given a go!
