1 year ban on transfers (2 windows)
Let's hope they can play their kids next season and somehow survive!

Spanish Health and Safety will be down on them like a ton of bricks.
They're screwed.

They're taking on Gary Locke to see them through it.

Unfortunate choice of words after yesterdays event.

Unfortunate choice of words after yesterdays event.

Not really. In fact, until you made the connection the choice of words was non relevant.

With Valdes currently out injured for 7 months and stating that he will be leaving at the end of the season, this ban could actually be an issue for them in regard their goalkeeping department, uness they have a quality reserve or youth to step up. They'll likely now look to keep Valdes on with a lucrative new contract, which may work out for both parties given the transfer ban and his fairly serious injury.

Does this rule apply between Scotland and Englandshire?

Unfortunate choice of words after yesterdays event.

I was in no way referring to yesterday's event.
I used a well worn phrase to have a chuckle at Hearts.
If I have offended some of the permanently offended on here then it is unintentional but reflects more on them than me.

Puyol leaving as well.

Puyol leaving as well.

True, but according to Wikipedia, he's only played 5 league games this season and 13 last season, so it would appear that they have this position covered currently although playing a midfielder in Mascherano in defence isn't the answer long term in my opinion. Valdes on the other hand plays pretty much every game, 26 so far this season in the league prior to injury, so the plan would have been to replace him in the summer.

No offence taken, merely an observation.

You didn't just make an observation, you made a connection.

I think they may just hold onto his registration after his contract runs out and claim that he is still their player. If the Spanish FA are as incompetent/corrupt as their Scottish counterparts that'll work out fine.

But...they will still be allowed to sign Skacel, right?

I observed it was a tad thoughtless on your part, anyway I'm away to find something else I'm not offended by now.

If you want the last word, help yourself.

Probably gives Everton less chance of keeping gerard deulofeu

I can see the logic behind the ban of signing players, but why are they banned from selling?

I would think a ban of selling players could be challenged by a player as a restriction on trade similar to Bosman.

First Hearts, now Barca. The European giants are fairly taking a hammering from football's authorities these days.

All 'big clubs' get hit with transfer bans.

They have a special link don't you know - the clubs are linked like Siamese twins. Both megaclubs in the wider football world.

Barcelona have already signed a new GK named Marc-Andre ter Stegen, this may affect the deal but they probably will have a GK next season.

Happens to all the big european clubs these type of bans. You only need to look at the multiple champions league winners across the city

This is just to stop them signing James Collins.
