Compared to Butcher, with this squad he did.

Let's persuade him to retract his resignation.

He lost twice to them this season BTW just before we get the petition started.

Can you compare butcher to fenlon???

Fenlon left us with a completely unbalanced squad, with some very average players (being kind). That is one of the reasons we are in as much sh### as we are in.

Very true and it will take a long time to recover from Fenlon's contribution. Let's hope Butcher gets some transfer support from the board.

Matty, it's impossible to argue with that. But it's also impossible to argue that Butcher has these players performing worse than they were under Fenlon.

He should be trying to push the very best out of them, but is failing to do so.

If he can't get the best out of what he has now, then how will he get the best out of a new set of players?

I would compare Fenlon to Mercer, they both had a good go at destroying Hibs.

Magic said when appointed that 19 points in 19 games isn't good enough for a club the size of Killie (he was just having a dig at Kenny and he currently has 33 from 32).

Butcher has 19 from 19, so if it ain't good enough for us...?

Yep, Butcher should be getting more out of them, no arguments.

Fenlon was not good regardless though of the players both managers this term had roughly the same good or bad ones to pick from, I would therefore expect if TB had more about him we would be getting better results even if slight. IMO we are not doing any better so both these guys are comparable. Not expecting 10 game winning run when TB arrived but more than what we are getting to show that he deserves time.

Fenlons record for hibs in the league this season: 4 Wins 3 Draws and 4 Defeats. Butchers record for hibs in the league this season: 4 Wins, 7 Draws and 8 Defeats. That is all.

Butcher definitely shoulders some of the blame for recent results, but as comparing them goes....

Number of games Fenlon managed Hibs for:87

Number of games Butcher has managed Hibs for: 20

Butcher has Fenlon`s players.

But Fenlon was better??

That does not prove that Fenlon was worth keeping. It only becomes significant if we get relegated or TB can't turn things around. Then it will be more than the manager getting booted out of ER

I understood the signing of butcher, but it's not working. We need a manager who is an enabler, that try's to find a system for the players he has; compared to forcing the team to play his way when they obviously can't.

We have now repeated the first 10 league matches ( same opponents and same venues ) . With Fenlon 15 points despite bad injuries to Harris and Cairney . With Butcher after a transfer window 6 points .

Spot on. This is a open and shut case.We didn`t have Griffiths when getting 15 points from first 10 matches . We`ve got 6 points from the same fixtures . .

Fenlon with Fenlons players vs Butcher with Butchers players.

End of comparison.Maybe but so far after one transfer window we`ve got worse so signs are far from good .
