From today's Football Transfer Rumours in the Grauniad (http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/28/football-transfer-rumours):

Sardour Azmoun is 19 years old, hails from a country hardly renowned for the number of outstanding footballers it produces and is good enough to have made a handful of appearances for a mid-table side in the Russian league, so it's no great surprise he's been labelled "the Iranian Lionel Messi". Frustrated Arsenal fans would probably prefer to see their manager sign the Argentinian Lionel Messi and will be shaking their heads in frustration upon hearing the news that Arsène Wenger is being reported to have offered Rubin Kazan £2m for Messi's raw Iranian equivalent, presumably with a view sending him out on loan to Hibernian, where he can become "the Iranian Daniel Boateng". The son of a volleyball legend, Azmoun's Wikipedia page reports that he enjoys horseback riding. He is also believed to have aroused the interest of talent scouts at AC Milan and Juventus.

I follow Iranian and Russian football a bit, this guy could definitely do a job for us.

He can be no worse than the Gambian Roberto Carlos.

No idea, I wasn't being entirely honest when I said I follow Iranian football...

With contracts expiring in the summer, though, we really ought to be looking for the Iranian Daniel Boateng.

Reminds me of the time we signed Jimmy Boco, the Beninian Joe Tortolano.

Actually, on reflection, I think Boco might be the elder of the two, so does that mean that Tortolano was in fact the Italian Jimmy Boco? :hmmm:

Good point however do you realize that if the Jambo's has a ground that held 100,000 they too would fill it every week and you would have to admit they are not very good.

Pretty sure rubin kazan are russian and have been in europa / champions league in recent years. SPL would be a drop in standard in comparison but in saying that id like to see us taking more pronising youngsters from the EPL on loan

Yeah I can't see him coming to us...

"Arsenal will hold talks with Rubin Kazan forward Sardar Azmoun, 19, who has been dubbed the Iranian Lionel Messi, over a move to the Emirates in the summer"

I am sure this was mentioned in the OP? But eluded to the fact he may come here on loan!
