As I'll be in a party that has children present, does either the Roseburn, Murrayfield Hotel or any other local establishment allow children in? Not that I'm going to go for a drink, as I'll have the car but want to know for the remainder of the guys I'll be with.

Thanks :top marks

I saw 11am quoted as it opening but I can't vouch for the accuracy of that.

Has anyone else been in the Murrayfield since its refurb? Bar is much smaller than it was before, and it was hard enough getting served the way it was!! Will probably start at the Murrayfield then head along to the Roseburn if it is in fact opening at 11 :aok:

Murrayfield is completely different now and will be far from ideal for us.

If it's nice it'll be a carry-out in the street for us.

If I started drinking at breakfast time I would certainly be getting carried out in the street. No match ticket so looks like I will be at home watching it on big telly with a cup of tea. :violin: :violin:

Looks a lot smaller bar and a bit more posh inside than it used to be. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/27/egusyrug.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/27/2y9a2uby.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/27/ydenyqut.jpg

Murrayfield Hotel is completely different now from what it used to be.

Would think they will be taking a similar stance on us pesky football fans as the Murrayfield Bar and the Hampton Hotel before long sadly.

At the same time though they'll make a good wedge. Plus they can't exactly knock back the rugby fans when they come calling. Shall see!

Bar area doesn't matter anyway, took ages to get served in there.

I'll just add that I thought it wouldn't be open to ****my football fans as I was in there not long ago (£9 for an all day breakfast!!!!!) but apparently people have been phoning and we are allowed in.

Strict with kids on Derby day so you may have to use the beer garden rather than inside.

Looks like a bar for faux-posh ****ers happy to stump up £13 for a gin and a cucumber sandwich. Horrible kind of 'boozer'.

It looks marginally better than all the ones who's notable features are candles, cushions, cuddles and wasabi peas.

Carry out for me too or a quick in and out. Woeful choice in that area.

From those pictures the Murrayfield Hotel looks a damned sight more civilized than the squalid rat trap we've grown accustomed to.

Will be interesting to see how they handle the crowds on Sunday at the new Murrayfield Hotel.. doesn't sound like the rugger buggers were too impressed and that was with them getting an outside bar / marquee!

I can see us having to find a new base for pre-derby drinking. Thankfully, we won't need to worry about it for a while :greengrin

Would be brilliant watching their faces as they walk by the tynie arms looking at the doors thinking "I'm certain I can here a hibees bounce" then the realisation of "they barstewards have taken our pub!!"

Please can't we arrange this? Certainly get the adrenalin up for the game ;)

Believe it or not this pub used to have a fair few hibs fans drinking it regularly. More so when it was Luckies and it was owned by a Hibs fan.

Looking for a swift couple Sunday morning before disappearing undercover into the hearts end. Is Diane's pool hall open early or just the murrayfield hotel? Probably be about 10 in the morning.
