Many years ago the Yams keeper was Duff, and so were their other ten players.

Was watching a Poland match a while back and I'm pretty sure all but one of the players had -sson at the end of their names... Not exactly what you meant, I know...

Having had to watch them play I would doubt they fall into the 'footballers' category :greengrin

Afaik in Iceland you take your surname from your father's first name and add ..sson.
Therefore Einar Gudjonsson had a father Gudjon and Einar would have children with the surname Einarsson.

Same in Sweden, Henrick Larsson's dad for example was called Lars.

Again not really what you're asking but I'm sure recently St Mirren have had McGregor, McAusland, McGowen, McLean and McGinn all in the starting 11, quite unusual to have so many Mcs

If he has a daughter her name will end with dottir but I'm not sure if its the mother or fathers name before it.

There's a lot of the Difano brothers playing judging by the comments along the lines of "who is the number 27?" On occasions swear their first name is ****......
