Tonight see's his return to Stamford Bridge, to play against the team he calls home. I wonder if he will dive all over the place and act as if he's been shot when he's tackled?

Its in his DNA in my opinion, so i think he will. :dunno:

Despite his diving he's probably been the most complete centre forward of the recent past imo. Tremendous player.

Is is not just that you've become so accustomed to watching ****** that you now can't recognise a decent game when you see it :greengrin

Wont celebrate IMO.

Won't need to if he keeps shooting like that.

Wont celebrate IMO.

I don't think any of their players will be celebrating at any point tonight.

Did nobody tell the Chelsea fans that you HAVE to hate all your ex players!? Well according to many on here you do!

He was abysmal tonight, didn't look like he was trying.

Desperate to score so he could make a big show of not celebrating. The whole thing is cringey.

Doubt Chelsea fans would be as happy to see Drogba had he joined Arsenal when he was still a top player.

Anyone else think he hit his banner with that free kick deliberately?

Don't know what people were expecting from him over the 2 legs. He's 36 and up against the best defensive partnership in the premiership. As said before he went for a Final paycheck, he'll be back at Marseille or Chelsea in some role over the next year or 2.

I was expecting a whole lot of diving and general cheating, and he did appear to me to be trying.

Very good player - and if you are restricting yourself to 'classic' centre forwards then probably one of the best. But for me he's not quite the match of others who have played the main striker role for their clubs - Henry, Ibrahimovic, fat Ronaldo all a cut above.

Drogba was a tremendous striker for Chelsea. That was the high point in his career.

The main thing about him was his strength and sheer presence. He didn't have a great deal of accuracy with shots. He could be a bit clumsy.

Chelsea would be mad to bring him back now though.

He didn't leave us, his loan deal ran out & he went back to his parent club. His choice then was to stay at wolves or go to celtic, There was no option of going to Hibs??

Don't see why people should still like him though, each to their own but he'll get no love from me.
