I have seen this a few times in Italian football where rival fans stage a mock funeral for their rivals. I think this would look great in the centre of town with perhaps on the royal mile?

I have included examples below Catania fans celebrating Palermo going down and likewise Genoa fans celebrating Sampdoria going down!

Just an idea. The irony is what would urge this as they 'killed us' as a club.

Maroon funeral beads symbolize the beads of sweat on Foulke's heed after he scoffs the funeral buffet and downs a half bottle of brandy.

Purple veils pull back to reveal the face of the Widow of Hearts and then close to hide her true ownership of the dead club.

Satisfied enough they did it to themselves without the need for a parade!

If they are relegated before the next derby we should defo try something like this. A big walk to the dump with a coffin.

The pall-bearers twirling scarfs as they carry the maroon casket.

Fire three cup-cakes into the air as a salute.

A funeral parade from the pub to the ground with a maroon coffin would be most amusing.
Perhaps everyone could take small wreaths into the ground with them and launch them onto the park at the start/end of the game.

What flowers should be used for the wreaths? Hmm. I'd suggest...

I'd be more than happy just for the stand to go nuts for 90 mins, obviously songs slagging them but whole Hibs end bouncing to Alez Au, Carnival de Paris etc is more than good enough, ie show them what a real party is like.

Praying we have the chance to relegate them.

A street party at the foot of Leith Walk, or a 'cheat party' as we should call it.

It was very thoughtful of that daft builder lassie to bury a Hearts scarf underneath the new East Stand.

Every time there's a celebration in there it's like dancing on their grave.

I find hangovers a terrible burden these days, so I'm sure our pink chum will do the considerate thing and announce liquidation very close to relegation confirmation, thus saving me getting bladdered twice.

I think we should go for a New Orleans style jazz funeral. Maroon and white casket, beers, loud funky music, people taking turns to dance on said casket - whats not to like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhcinJ03idI

Of course we would be reversing the sentiment (celebration of the death not the life) but think we can let that pass...

Won't Hearts just do another 86 and celebrate/parade their own failings?

I think a few lines in their beloved evening news orbituary section would be in order. I'm willing to donate to that one.

Ach, according to the BBC gossip today, hearts aren't a dead cert to go down. Try to read the following without falling off your chair....

Gary Locke wants Hearts to cause panic among the bottom six clubs by embarking on a winning run. (Various)
