I love the quote in the article referring to Haynes having "broken his Hibs duck". Correct me if I'm wrong, but I wasn't aware that a full 90 plus around half an hour of football prior to the game in which you score your first goal for the club could be referred to as the proverbial duck. I know we've had some debate in recent weeks concerning media coverage and I think that this is an example of poor phrasing.

Compare this with the beeb's coverage of Griffiths' first goal for celtc, described as "Leigh Griffiths netted his first goal since arriving from Wolves in January with a superb second-half strike."

Interesting difference in choice of phrase considering both players had not had a significant difference in game time

It is a well worn sporting term. Hackneyed, but hardly sinister. What a sensitive chap you are.

have missed previous games where they have played but on evidence of what I saw today you can't split this pairing up easily two of our most consistent players today and Stanton had the assist and looked dangerous with his forward runs which he did a lot .Some times tried to take on one man too many but in contrast to Harris it's easy to see what confidence does for your game Stanton has it in abundance and Harris can't buy it just now

What's "the hibs way"?

Getting a point away from home at a tricky venue?
