I've come up with 6 players who have played in the famous green & white who have lifted the European Cup: Frank Sauzee, Des Bremner, George Best, Ronnie Simpson, John Craig & Bertie Auld. Have I left anybody out? Got me thinking is there anybody who's pulled on the blood/turd colours, no one springs to mind?? Forever in our shadow:wink:

Know he didn't play in the final but Joe McBride senior played in the lead up to the final but was dropped in the run up to the final. Jock Stein was an ex Manager who went on to manage a winning team.

yes your spot on thats why they signed willie wallace and we ended up getting super slow mcbride ( he did score goals tho)

I am "Sure" Archie played in the final, but lost on pens to Stua Bucharest in the worst final ever.
