Centre mid

Just wondering if anyone who watched the youth teams know of any centre mids coming through that could make the break?

Not had one really since Thomson, only had people like Chisholm etc playing bit parts

Guys like Euan smith, David gold, horribine are they close or is there someone younger and better?

I know there's Stanton but to me he's more attacking

Smith had a good game against the Yam Cheats the other night. With so many midfielders missing today he should get a chance imo. :agree:

Hopefully, will be good seeing a young centre mid coming through having the calmness to collect the ball in certain areas and pass it.

Fwiw I think Stanton could do that but he's better more attacking than sitting

No euan smith is an attacking midfielder and can play on the wing.

Would say david gold is the most promising holding midfielder but he isn't as young as he is 21 now. Hopefully being out on loan will help him push in to first team next season.
